Julia Yearwood, founding director of Time 4 Me, has over 25 years experience working with children, young people and their families.
As a qualified teacher, Julia spent 11 years teaching in various inner city primary schools, including 5 years at a Pupil Referral Unit where her roles included class teacher, Outreach Teacher and NQT Consultant, supporting newly qualified teachers on classroom management.
From 2004 Julia studied counselling at the Institute of Counselling and ultimately re-trained as a psychodynamic therapeutic counsellor with the Tavistock and Portman NHS Trust. She left teaching in 2009 due to a medical condition and began working freelance with schools providing Early Therapeutic Interventions to children and young people. In 2012 Julia set up the Community Interest Company, Time 4 Me (In The Community) CIC and the business has continued to grow. Julia and Time 4 Me have supported the emotional wellbeing of eight schools (to November 2013). Julia has built a team of therapists who provide a range of therapeutic interventions for children, young people and their families within schools and community settings.
